A new hairstyle and a change of clothes can dramatically improve your appearance, but the person underneath stays the same. That's an apt description of the Infiniti QX65. New to Infiniti's lineup for 2027, the mid-size SUV brings a bold front-end treatment, a sweeping roofline, and an appealing cabin — but underneath that body sits the same bones as Infiniti's existing QX60, minus the third row.

The QX65 will be sold in Luxe, Sport, and Autograph trims, each powered by the same 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder VC-Turbo engine with variable compression. Infiniti's engineers kept the output figure constant but reworked the powertrain calibration for the QX65, adjusting the engine's acoustic character and tuning the nine-speed automatic to downshift more assertively when the driver lifts off the throttle. All-wheel drive is standard throughout the lineup, as is the illuminated grille emblem that signals Infiniti's premium intentions.

Styling-wise, the QX65 draws from the same design language established by the QX60 and QX80 when they debuted in 2025 — a natural result of how closely related the three vehicles are. Infiniti acknowledges that the look is a deliberate nod to the sporty, coupe-rooflined FX SUV from the 2000s, which you can see clearly in the QX65's side profile. The design reads especially well in the two-tone Autograph livery shown here, wearing a new Sunfire Red color that Infiniti describes as drawing inspiration from the Nissan GT-R's former Regal Red hue.

The interior will be familiar to anyone who's sat in a QX60. The cabin is well-appointed and comfortable, with leather covering the seats and dashboard in generous measure. The gauge cluster is a 12.3-inch digital display tucked beneath the instrument cowl, while a matching 12.3-inch unit handles infotainment duties. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard, and a head-up display is available on upper trims via a Premium package.

Heated front seats come standard across the lineup. Autograph buyers get massaging front seats and heated rear seats, while Sport and Autograph models add ventilated front seats and a 16-speaker Klipsch audio system.

The sloping roofline doesn't compromise practicality nearly as much as you might expect — provided you're carrying cargo rather than people. Without a third row eating into the load space, the QX65 offers 36 cubic feet of storage behind the second row, expanding to 68 cubic feet with those seats folded. Infiniti notes that with all seats up, there's still room in the cargo area for four sets of golf bags.

The 2027 Infiniti QX65 will begin arriving at dealers early this summer. Pricing starts at $55,535 for the Luxe, $57,235 for the Sport, and $64,135 for the Autograph.
